The admission process for Pre-K and K students has changed each year for the past few years. Please refer to the DOE website to see the most up to date information regarding admissions to public school.
For grades 1 and higher, admission is given to zoned students or at the discretion of the principal, with the determining factor being class size.
For Pre-Kindergarten, priority it given in the following order: siblings of zoned children, non-zoned siblings, zoned children, children in District 3 whose zoned school does not have a Pre-K program, District 3 children whose zoned school has a Pre-K program, non-District 3 children whose school has no Pre-K, non-District 3 children whose school has a Pre-K program.
For Kindergarten, priority is given in the following order: siblings of zoned children, non-zoned siblings, zoned children, children in District 3, children in Manhattan, children in New York City.
Students who enter at Pre-K level are required to re-apply to the school for kindergarten. While there is no guarantee to remain at the school if the child comes from out of zone, the school does make an effort to retain these students.
Please check the school website homepage to see current schedule.
